Currently in formation as a 501(c)(6) hybrid consortium, the Global Capacity Alliance seeks to enable and certify Front-of-the-Meter Netting rules globally through trusted, replicable regulatory constructs.
Inquire About Founding MembershipThe Settlement Standard. The GCA defines the data schemas and settlement ledger formats necessary to legally settle Front-of-the-Meter netting. This coordination mechanism allows co-located generation to mitigate grid strain and shield large loads from curtailment risk.
The Commercial Unlock. By standardizing the FTM-Netting settlement process, the GCA unlocks the Capacity Attribution Contract (CAC). This contractual framework provides the verifiable data layer that institutional lenders and insurers require to confidently underwrite non-firm grid interconnections.
The GCA is currently structuring its governing body. We are actively seeking Founding Board Members and Technical Steering Committee participants to help refine the rollout of these certification pathways.
